Given the high growth in the number of Mentors of 1st Cycle Students, each group of Mentees will havetwo Mentors from the respective course. Therefore, there is the possibility of a group application, in which you inform us on your application form if you wish to apply as a group. The Mentor who applies with you will also have to give us this information when filling out their application form.

You can apply to be a Mentor individually. However, in the case of 1st Cycle Mentoring, you can indicate on the registration form whether you would like to undertake the Welcome Week journey individually or whether you prefer to be paired with another Mentor.

Applications for Mentoring Mobility students and Mentoring 2nd Cycle students are exclusively individual.

So that Mentees can have a comfortable and enriching experience and, considering the increase in the number of Mentors over the years, a selection of participants will be carried out in accordance with the programme regulations, which you can consult here. All Mentor candidates will be informed of the result of their application via institutional email aqui. The application to Mentor Mobility Students will be individual, with no groups of Mentors being formed.

To perform your role as a Mentor in the best way possible, several mandatory face-to-face sessions will be held, called Initial Training. You will only need to attend one of these sessions. These will take place prior to the Welcome Week and the times will be made available when the application is confirmed.

The 2023/24 Welcome Week for New 1st Cycle Students runs throughout the week and works as follows:

    From Monday to Friday in the mornings, each Mentor meets their group of Mentees, who they accompany on the defined route (includes a guided tour of the campus);

No. Attendance at the Welcome Week is mandatory for participation in the Mentoring programme and in future activities.

For the purposes of recognition of the 2023/24 Mentorship programme, it is considered that its duration will be around 6 months, and your role is fundamental to guarantee the reception and integration of your Mentees. You can count on activities for Mentors and Mentees, encouraging networking and contact between all programme participants. In this way, we want continuous and personalized monitoring to occur.

Although there are activities throughout the academic year, for the purposes of recognizing PM 23/24, its duration is considered to be around 6 months. You will be able to participate in activities that take place in the following months, but they will only be counted towards 2nd semester Mobility Mentoring.

This academic year, points are awarded based on the duration of the activity carried out. Therefore, it is possible to consult the expected durations of activities in each category and their respective conversion in the regulations. The expected duration of each activity will also be mentioned in the registration emails.

All Mentors will have access to a Database detailing the activities carried out, the respective points and their participation in them.

No. You will receive a Certificate of Participation in the Mentoring programme after completing the necessary requirements, which you can consult in the Regulations

No. The Certificate of Participation in the Mentoring programme is awarded to Mentors who necessarily meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Participation in Initial Training;
  • Monitoring the Mentee(s) during the Welcome Week;
  • Completing Report 1 or participating in the Mentoring Together activity;

To obtain the Certificate of Appreciation, Mentors must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Participation in Initial Training;
  • Monitoring the Mentee(s) during the Welcome Week;
  • Completing Report 1 or participating in the Mentoring Together activity;
  • Participation in an activity included in the Orange Category or Yellow Category;
  • Completion of Report 2;
  • Sum of 50 points obtained by participating in activities within the scope of the programme.

oFor participation as a Mentor to be recognized by the Technician in the Course Completion Diploma Supplement, Mentors must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Participation in Initial Training;
  • Monitoring the Mentee(s) during the Welcome Week;
  • Completing Report 1 or participating in the Mentoring Together activity;
  • Participation in an activity included in the Orange Category or Yellow Category;
  • Completion of Report 2;
  • Sum of 75 points obtained by participating in activities within the scope of the programme.

Yes! Attendance at Mentoring programme activities is independent between Mentor and Mentee.
